VOTE RYAN DARLING FOR HD 99

Born and raised in Missoula, Ryan Darling attended Paxson, Willard and Hellgate Elementary Schools and graduated from Hellgate HS in 1997.  Seeking a career in aviation Ryan went to Arizona and earned a Flight Instructor Certificate and also a BA in Economics from the U of A. 

With a young family, Ryan changed career focus to surveying in the family business where he managed the 3D Technologies division as Vice President for over a decade while also Flight Instructing part time.  Ryan returned to Missoula in 2016 and eventually started his own laser scanning company which now employs four people. The Darling Family currently resides in the Wapikiya neighborhood in Montana House District 99. 

Ryan is driven to public service due to recent actions of the Missoula County Public Schools.   In a city where masking was optional almost everywhere, Ryan witnessed schools implementing forced masking of students against the will of parents and forced masking of kids running outside in the sun where a virus cannot survive. He felt the "science" being used to make the forced masking decisions wasn't really very scientific at all.  The school system offered a low quality online academy alternative which left many families no choice but to homeschool at parental expense.  

Ryan is running for HD99 to support legislation that will create a competitive, decentralized school system where all types of students are served with quality education and teachers can be rewarded for high performance.
